While all jewellery naturally discolours slightly over time, Skye pieces are designed to resist tarnishing for extended wear. However, certain chemicals like those found in shampoos and perfumes can slightly dull the gold plating's brilliance.

Here's how to maintain your Skye Jewellery's dazzling shine with minimal effort:

• Simple Cleaning: For routine care, gently buff your jewellery with a soft polishing cloth to restore its luster.

Smart Wearing: To help preserve the vibrancy of the gold plating, you can briefly remove your jewellery when showering, swimming, or applying lotions and fragrances.

Caring for Sterling Silver & Gold-Plated Sterling Silver (925)

Our sterling silver (925) and 18k gold-plated sterling silver pieces are crafted with the same dedication to quality, but they do require a little extra care to keep them looking their best:

• Avoid Prolonged Moisture: Sterling silver can naturally tarnish when exposed to water or humidity for long periods. Store your pieces in a dry, cool place, ideally in a jewellery pouch or box.
• Gentle Cleaning: If tarnish appears, clean with a specialised silver polishing cloth to restore brightness. For gold-plated silver, stick to a soft cloth only — avoid silver dips or harsh cleaners as these may wear away the plating.
• Last On, First Off: Put your silver jewellery on after applying perfume, hairspray, or lotion, and remove it before swimming or showering to help maintain both the silver and the gold plating’s brilliance.

Skye Jewellery Warranty & Returns

14-Day Return Policy:

At Skye Jewellery, we want you to love your purchase. If for any reason you're not satisfied, you can return your unworn and unused jewellery within 14 days of receiving it. 

Return Requirements:

To be eligible for a return, your jewellery must be:

• Unworn and unused
• In the original packaging
• Accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase

Refunds & Exchanges:

Skye Jewellery does not offer cash refunds. However, you can choose between:

• Store Credit: We will issue you a store credit for the full purchase price of the returned item. This credit can be used towards any future purchase at Skye Jewellery.
• Exchange: You can exchange your item for a different piece of jewellery of equal or lesser value.

Return Process:

1. Contact our customer service team at skyejewellery@proton.me within 14 days of receiving your item to initiate a return request.
2. Securely pack your jewellery in the original packaging to avoid damage in transit.

Please note, we are a small business and do not currently offer pre-paid return labels. It is something we are hoping to expand on in the future.

Important Notes:

• You are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
• Delivery and postage costs from your original order are non-refundable.
• Skye Jewellery is not responsible for lost or damaged items during return shipment. We recommend using a trackable shipping method for your protection.
• Earrings cannot be returned due to hygiene reasons.
• For any questions or concerns regarding specific items, please contact us before placing your order.

Warranty:

6-Month Warranty

We guarantee your stainless steel jewellery for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase. During this period, we will replace your jewellery piece if it tarnishes.

Tarnishing Replacement Policy:

If your stainless steel jewellery tarnishes within 6 months of purchase, we will replace it with an identical piece.

Out-of-Stock Replacement:

In the unlikely event that we are unable to replace your tarnished jewellery with an identical piece, we will offer you a voucher for the original purchase price.

Warranty Exclusions:

This warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, or neglect.

Proof of Purchase:

To validate your warranty claim, please provide a copy of your original purchase receipt.
